Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - The Eagles took to Dobson Field for a matinee matchup to close out their season-opening series against the Patriots.
Tyler took an early lead, jumping out to an 8-run lead in the 4th inning, with the momentum changing on an interesting call at third base. With one out and the bases load, the Patriots hit a grounder to the shorts stop, that ball was thrown to third for the force out, but
Jaren Hill was called off the bag. The next batter struck out, but Tyler capitalized on the potential extra out by scoring two more runs after the potential third out of the inning.
Marcus Johnson continued his impressive series debut, with an RBI double to get OC on the board. Johnson hit .615 over the four-game series, with 8 hits, 5 runs, and 5 RBIs.
The Patriots expanded their lead to 10-1, but the Eagles responded in the bottom of the 6th with
Michael DiFiore hitting a grand slam for his first home run this season. The grand slam cut the lead to 10-5, and the offense got a few more men on base but none across the plate.
The Eagles split the series 2-2 against the Patriots, winning the first two games with a combined score of 15-7.
