Fink Scores Two Goals in Tie With University of Texas Permian Basin

ODESSA, Texas- Oklahoma Christian (6-5-6, LSC 2-5-5) traveled to take on UT Permian Basin (4-7-6, LSC 2-5-5) in the last game of the regular season. The Eagles made a second half comeback to finish the game in a 2-2 draw. 

WHAT WENT DOWN 

  • The Eagles took 15 shots at the goal in the first half, while only allowing UTPB to take 2 shots in the half. 

  • Early in the second half the Eagles found themselves down 2-0. 

  • The second half was another onslaught of shots by the Eagles from all over the roster, with 10 different Eagles all taking aim at the goal. 

  • The Eagles were able to break through as senior Brooklyn Fink scored in the 52nd minute of play off an assist from senior Rani Mueller. 

  • Later, in the 66th minute of play the two seniors link up again as Fink gets her second goal of the game off another assist from Rani Mueller. 

  • Freshman Goalie Breanna Wooten makes a great save with minutes left in the game to keep the game at a draw. 

NOTES 

  • Senior Brooklyn Fink added 2 making her season total 6. 

  • Senior Rani Mueller brought her assists total to 5 with the 2 to Fink tonight. 

  • The Eagles finished the 2023 season with an overall record of 6-5-6 and a conference record of 2-5-5.
