OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma Christian (4-8-6, LSC 3-4-2) hosted Dallas Baptist (6-7-4, LSC 3-4-2) on the final night of the regular season, with conference tournament scenarios looming large over both teams.
WHAT WENT DOWN
-
Coming into tonight's game the Patriots were playing for their season to continue, needing a win to claim their spot in the tournament.
-
The Eagles without a win left their fate up to the outcome of a few other games from the conference tonight.
-
Freshman Lawson Ford scored his 3rd goal of the season, after a great run from Joep Claassen led to a ball sent across the back to Ford, for Claassen's first assist of the season.
-
The goal gave the Eagles an early 1-0 lead, but later in the first half, DBU scored two goals in a minute, and went on to win the match.
NOTES
-
With the fate left up to the rest of the results tonight, OC ended the regular season in 5th place, and will take on the four seed St. Mary's on Saturday.
-
This will be OC's second trip to the conference tournament since joining the Lone Star Conference. And a back-to-back trip for them, after advancing to the Lone Star Conference Championships championship match last season.
