TYLER, Texas. - Oklahoma Christian men's soccer (3-6-5, LSC 2-2-1) hit the road to continue conference play against the UT Tyler Patriots (5-3-5, LSC 1-2-2) at the Citizens First Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex. The Eagles played in a tightly contested first half, going into the break with a 1-1 tie. After a physical start to the second half, OC tacked on two goals and put away the patriots following a pivotal save by Fynn Koerner.
WHAT WENT DOWN

Both teams came out firing in this match with 3 shots in the first 6 minutes. Fynn Koerner would record his first save of the night in the 5th minute shifting the momentum in favor of the Eagles as they found the back of the net seconds later. Alvar Silva put the Eagles on the board in the 6th minute off of an assist by Isaias Silva.

After multiple shots from both sides, the Patriots were able to strike just before the half tying the match at 1-1. The shot count at half was 7 to 5, OC.

The Patriots put together an early attack out of the half, but were shut down as Fynn Koerner earned his 4th save of the night just 3 minutes in. The Eagles continued to feed off of their stout defense as Lawson Ford scored their second goal in the 49th minute.

The Eagles maintained the lead in a physical match, holding UT Tyler scoreless in the second half. OC would land their 3rd goal of the night as Tate Farley connected on a cross from Mason Thornhill.
