Koerner gets first clean sheet against RV Rogers State

Claremore, Okla. - The men's soccer team traveled to Claremore today and earned a result against Rogers State (RSU), who received votes in this week's coaches poll.

The Eagles (4-0-1), down a man for the entire second half, held the Hillcats (2-1-2) scoreless in a defensive battle at Soldier Field. Fynn Koerner and the Eagles' defense had their first clean sheet this season.

Koerner had two saves, none more significant than the one he made smothering a shot at the buzzer. The defense also came up huge as they blocked two shots in a three-shot barrage at the end of the match.

OC's offense put more shots on goal than RSU but was kept out of the net by some extra-effort saves from RSU's keeper.

The Eagles are back at home this Saturday at 3 p.m. as they take on the Bison of Harding for the first time since 2018.
