Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Kregg Matthews

Wichita Falls - see the first letter for the Eagles’ result on the road

Wichita Falls, Texas - Oklahoma Christian (3-4-3, 1-3-1 LSC) women's soccer went down I-44 for a matchup against Midwestern State (4-5, 1-3 LSC) and is coming back with a road victory.

The Eagles took an early lead when the Mustangs' keeper dribbled out of the box, was dispossessed on a deflection by Natalie Davis, and Manon Ceresola took advantage with a chip shot from about 30-yards out. The goal was Ceresola's second of the season.

The Mustangs turned up the pressure late in the first half, including a shot attempt across the face of the goal in the 37th minute. But Gabby Goddard slid across and got an outreached hand on it to keep the Eagles with the lead going into the half.

In the second half, Oklahoma Christian's defense locked down the Mustangs. While the Mustangs got seven shots off, only one on goal. And that lone shot on goal was saved by Goddard for her third of the night. The result was the fourth clean sheet of the season for OC and the second for Goddard.

The shutout makes two in a row for Oklahoma Christian after they locked down Texas-Tyler this past Saturday.
