Oklahoma City, Okla. - A night after a 25-point season-opening win in the Nest, the Eagles had a matchup with the No. 10 team in the nation, Black Hills State, who is coming off a final four appearance.

Black Hills State threw the first punch, jumping out to a 9-2 lead thanks to a pair of threes from PJ Hayes who went 5/6 from three in the first half. Oklahoma Christian punched back, and after a timeout went on a 13-5 run, to take a 15-14 lead.

The Eagles and Yellow Jackets traded baskets for the rest of the half, and the Yellow Jackets took a 39-33 lead into the break.
Drew Tennial led the offensive attack in the first half for OC with 12 points.

BHS came out in the second half and expanded their lead to 59-44 with 13 minutes left, but the Eagles clawed their way back into the game.
Antonio Gordon and
Jaden Young provided 6 points each over the next 11 minutes, to help cut the lead to 74-71 with 2 minutes left in the game. Over the final two minutes, the Yellow Jackets staved off the Eagles and won, 80-73.

Oklahoma Christian will be back in the Nest at 7 p.m. next Thursday for a matchup against Randall. That game will be sponsored by Tinker Federal Credit Union and will feature multiple giveaways, including free t-shirts to the first 100 fans.
