Eagles fall against Patriots in Dallas

Dallas, Texas - Oklahoma Christian (8-4-3, 2-3-2 LSC) went to a Dallas for battle against the team directly in front of them in the conference standings, Dallas Baptist (5-5-4, 4-2 LSC).

The Eagles out shot the Patriots 16-10 in a matchup between two offenses in the top half of the Lone Star. Isaias Silva and Joep Claassen with four and three shots respectively led the Eagles' offensive attack. But for the third consecutive match, the top offense in the conference was shutout.

The Eagles held DBU scoreless for the first 63 minutes of play, but Peyton Voelker found the back of the net for the first goal of that match. In the 74th minute, DBU went down a man due to a red card, but Voelker continued the attack and scored again in the 87th minute to give Dallas Baptist a 2-0 advantage.

Elliott Forestier got a shot on goal in the final minute to break the scoreless streak, but the DBU keeper made a diving stop to put an end to the Eagles' attack.

Oklahoma Christian will return home where they are 6-1-1, for a matchup against Texas-Permian Basin at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
