Anderson resigns as OC women’s soccer coach

OKLAHOMA CITY (April 14, 2021) – Meagan Anderson has resigned after four seasons as Oklahoma Christian's women's soccer coach, OC Athletic Director David Lynn said Wednesday.

Anderson, a former OC standout, went 7-55-2 during her tenure at OC, helping guide the program in its transition from the Heartland Conference into the Lone Star Conference. Before coming to OC, she was a successful coach at Edmond North High School, going 60-22 in five seasons and guiding the Huskies into the Class 6A semifinals in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Then known as Meagan Pless, Anderson played forward for the Lady Eagles from 2004 to 2007, starting 48 games and helping OC qualify for the NAIA Championship in 2004 and 2006 – two of the program's three national-tournament appearances.

"We appreciate the hard work coach Anderson has contributed toward our program through the years, particularly during our transition into the Lone Star Conference," Lynn said. "We wish her well in her future endeavors."

Lynn said a national search to fill the position had begun.
