OKLAHOMA CITY (March 26, 2021) – Oklahoma Christian senior
Brianna Concienne was named Friday as the Lone Star Conference's offensive player of the week for women's soccer, the first time an OC player has been so recognized since the Eagles began competing in the league with the 2019 season.
Playing in the final home game of her career, Concienne – a forward from Flower Mound, Texas – had a hand in both of OC's goals as the Eagles stunned undefeated and No. 1-ranked Dallas Baptist (Texas) by earning a 2-2 draw on Wednesday.
She assisted on OC's first goal, sending a perfectly placed corner kick into the penalty box for teammate
Natalie Thomas to tie the game in the 63rd minute. Concienne scored the Eagles' second goal in the 87
th minute to briefly put them ahead.
Concienne's performance came against a DBU defense that had allowed only five goals all season (no more than one to any opponent). DBU entered the game at 8-0, with wins over Division I Louisiana State and Abilene Christian, and on an 11-game winning streak in its series with OC.
