OKLAHOMA CITY (March 23, 2021) – Texas-Permian Basin scored late in the first half and held off Oklahoma Christian the rest of the way for a 1-0 win over the Eagles on Tuesday at the Eagle Soccer Field.
Kasper Wallstroem's goal in the 42nd minute proved to be the difference for UTPB (4-2-1, 3-2-1 Lone Star Conference). OC (1-6, 1-6) appeared to have tied the game less than three minutes from the end, but officials called a foul against OC's
Thomas van der Meulen on the play and disallowed the goal.
The Falcons outshot OC 20-14, with van der Meulen leading OC with three shots. OC goalkeeper
Anthony Trabichet made five saves, as did UTPB goalkeeper Alfonso Aragon.
OC will play its final home game of the spring-semester season on Saturday against Dallas Baptist (Texas) before closing the campaign at West Texas A&M next Tuesday.
