OKLAHOMA CITY (Jan. 6, 2021) – Oklahoma Christian will face its only Lone Star Conference in-state rival, Cameron, in a pair of men's basketball games this week.
OC (0-4, 0-4 LSC) will host Cameron (0-6, 0-6) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday before traveling to Lawton for a 4:30 p.m. game on Saturday in Aggie Gym.
Cameron is allowing only fans on its pass list into its home games. OC will allow 10 percent occupancy – or about 200 fans – per game in the Eagles' Nest. OC student-athletes, coaches and athletic department personnel will be allowed a number of pre-approved guests on a pass list. Visiting teams will be allowed a pre-approved pass list of 25 people, per LSC guidelines.
A limited number of OC students and faculty and staff members (with identification) also will be allowed to attend, with the goal to keep occupancy around the 200 number.
No general admission tickets will be sold.
The Eagles' games this season have come against a pair of the LSC's top teams, at home against Lubbock Christian (Texas) on Dec. 18-19 and at Angelo State (Texas) on Sunday and Monday. Cameron's games have come at home against Midwestern State (Texas) on Dec. 11-12, at Texas-Permian Basin on Dec. 18-19 and against divisional rival (and No. 25-ranked) Dallas Baptist (Texas) on Saturday and Tuesday.
Four Eagles have double-figure scoring averages – freshman
Elijah Elliott (14.0), freshman
Marco Foster (12.5), senior
Anthony Johnson (10.5) and junior
D.J. Walter (10.3).
Cameron is 0-6 for the first time since the 2007-08 season, but three of the Aggies' six losses – both against UTPB and one against Midwestern State – have come by five points or less. Junior Brock Schreiner leads the Aggies in scoring at 18.2 points per games. He also leads the LSC in free-throw shooting, having made all 18 of his attempts.
OC is 11-14 all-time against Cameron, with the teams splitting a pair of games last season, each winning on its home court.
