OKLAHOMA CITY (Jan. 16, 2021) – Oklahoma Christian has rescheduled three postponed women's basketball games, OC coach
Stephanie Findley said Saturday.
OC's game at Angelo State (Texas) – originally scheduled for Jan. 3, but postponed to Monday due to the Lone Star Conference's COVID-19 protocols – now has been rescheduled again, to Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. OC and the Rambelles also will play in Oklahoma City on Feb. 22.
Texas Woman's had been OC's scheduled opponent for this week, with games originally set for Thursday (in Denton, Texas) and Saturday (in Oklahoma City). The game at Texas Woman's now will be Jan. 26 at 2 p.m., with the Pioneers now scheduled to visit OC on Feb. 16 at 5:30 p.m.
OC is 2-2 overall and 2-2 in LSC play, splitting on the road against Texas A&M International on Dec. 11-12 and splitting a home-and-home series against Cameron last week. The win over TAMIU looks particularly impressive in retrospect, with the Dustdevils off to an 8-1 start.
OC freshman forward
Brooklin Bain is the reigning LSC offensive player of the week and both she and senior guard
Maddison Collyer Ingraham are averaging 12.0 points per game.
Angelo State (0-2, 0-2) didn't open its season until this week, when the Rambelles dropped two games to No. 3-ranked Lubbock Christian (Texas). Sawyer Lloyd led Angelo State in the losses, averaging 16.0 points per game. Sadie Misner (11.5 ppg) and Madeline Stephens (10.5 ppg, 9.0 rebounds per game) also have double-figure scoring averages for the Rambelles.
OC's nonconference games against Western New Mexico, which had been scheduled for Monday and Tuesday in Oklahoma City, have been cancelled.
