COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 26, 2020) – Juniors Heidi Fritscher and Jamie McGarrigle and sophomore Grace Hill represented Oklahoma Christian on the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's All-Academic women's swimming first-team list, released Thursday.

Seven other OC swimmers made the RMAC's All-Academic Honor Roll. To qualify for the honor, an athlete must have at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average, have been a student at her institution for at least two semesters and used a season of competition during the academic year in which the award is earned.

Sports information directors from RMAC institutions vote to determine the first-team list, with the award based on both academic and athletic results.

Fritscher, a Math Education major from Mandeville, La., carries a 3.96 GPA and made the first-team list after appearing on the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll in 2019. She qualified for the C final in the 200-yard freestyle at this year's RMAC Championships in Grand Junction, Colo.

Hill, from Santa Clarita, Calif., carries a perfect 4.0 GPA in Interior Design. At the RMAC meet, she made the B final in the 200 butterfly and the 400 individual medley and the C final in the 200 individual medley.

McGarrigle, from Indian Harbour Beach, Fla., already is working on her master's degree in Finance at OC and has a 3.91 GPA. She earned first-team All-RMAC honors with a second-place finish in the 50 freestyle at the league meet and made the B finals in both the 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly.

Swimmers representing OC on the All-Academic Honor roll included Gabrealla Badillo, a sophomore Nursing major from Coppell, Texas; Allison DeWeirdt, a junior Interior Design major from Keller, Texas; Kaitlyn Maker, a sophomore Political Science major from Sterling, Colo.; Riley Powelson, a junior Family Science/Child Development major from Edmond, Okla.; Andrea Rogers, a sophomore Math Education major from St. Charles, Mo.; Kaleigh Seitz, a sophomore Nursing major from Glen Allen, Va.; and Hailey Webster, a junior Nursing major from San Antonio.
