OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 30, 2020) – Four swimmers have signed to compete collegiately for Oklahoma Christian starting with the 2021-22 season, OC coach
Josh Davis said Monday.
Joining the Eagles will be Vivian Pitsch of Koblenz, Germany; Madysen Monroe of Canyon, Texas; Shayle Woods of Burton, Texas; and Jessica Lewis of Lubbock, Texas.
Pitsch is a standout backstroker, with a top time of 29.56 seconds in the 50-meter backstroke. She was a federal state champion in that event from 2017 to 2019 and earned All-District honors in the 50 backstroke, 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke and 100 butterfly in 2019. She qualified for the 50 backstroke final in the German Youth Championships in 2020.
Monroe was a three-time Texas Class 5A regional finalist for Amarillo High School, doing so in the 100-yard freestyle and 200 freestyle in 2020 and the 100 butterfly in 2018. She competed in club swimming for the Amarillo Swim Team.
Woods was a five-time Texas Class 5A regional finalist for Brenham High School – twice in the 200 freestyle and three times in the 500 freestyle. She's the 137th-ranked recruit in Texas and competes in club swimming for Brenham Swim Club.
Lewis was a Texas Class 5A regional finalist for Lubbock Monterey High School in the 100 breaststroke in 2018. She swims for Lubbock Swim Club.
