OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 26, 2020) – The roster for the 2020 League of Legends team for Oklahoma Christian Esports has been set, OC coach
Lucas Hayworth said.
League of Legends is a fast-paced, competitive online game that blends the speed and intensity of Real-Time Strategy (RTS) with Role-Playing Game (RPG) elements. Two teams, each with a unique design and playstyle, battle head-to-head across multiple battlefields and game modes.
Most members of OC's League of Legends team will play at least two roles so that they can fill in for each as needed throughout the season, Hayworth said.
The 2020-21 roster includes:
Keenan Lee, a junior from Edmond, who will serve as the team captain by coordinating the team's in-game strategy. Lee's roles on the team is the support and mid. A versatile player, Lee will also compete for the Eagles in Valorant, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare and Rainbow 6 Siege. He also competes as a pole vaulter on OC's track and field team.
Stephen Gaub, a senior from Seattle, whose roles are 80 carry and jungle.
Logan Seaman, a junior from Fallbrook, Calif., whose roles are top and support.
Trevor Reeves, a senior from Lincolnton, N.C., whose roles are mid and undecided.
Mark Knappier, a senior from Hot Springs Village, Ark., whose roles will be mid and jungle. Knappier will also compete on OC's Valorant and Rainbow 6 Siege teams.
Jackson Goodin, a senior from Oklahoma City, whose roles are jungle and support.
Ryan Gentzler, a junior from Van Alstyne, Texas, whose role is support.
Rhyu LePage, a freshman from Westbrook, Maine, whose roles are top, mid and jungle. Hayworth said LePage is the most advanced player on the team, reaching the diamond level. As a result, Hayworth said LePage is helping coach the team and doing analysis of the League of Legend team's play on a macro and micro level.
