OKLAHOMA CITY (Sept. 7, 2019) – Southwestern Oklahoma State rode a pair of early goals to a 3-0 win over Oklahoma Christian on Saturday at the Eagle Soccer Field.
Sandra Nabweteme scored in the fifth and 61st minute for Southwestern (1-1), which outshot OC by a 14-9 count and held a 55-45 percent advantage in possession time. She also assisted on the Bulldogs' second goal, in the 17th minute by Brenna McGuirk.
OC (0-2) had three outstanding scoring chances. In the first half, the Eagles couldn't collect a loose ball in front of an open goal in the first half and Southwestern goalkeeper Kirstyn Dill grabbed it to end the threat.
In the 59th minute,
Carson Hazel hit the crossbar with a shot from outside the penalty box, and in the 64th minute, Dill parried a strong shot by
Ashlynn McMahan just over the crossbar. Dill finished with two saves.

The Eagles will host their third Great American Conference opponent in as many games, East Central, at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
