COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (June 25, 2019) – For the second straight semester, Oklahoma Christian's women's team has earned Scholar All-America status from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.
The CSCAA announced on Tuesday its list of honorees for the spring 2019 semester. To receive the honor, teams had to post a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for the spring semester and have 12 or more student-athletes. OC's squad posted a cumulative GPA of 3.07 during the semester. A record 83 women's teams in NCAA Division II qualified for the award.
The Eagles picked up the honor during the fall semester with a team GPA of 3.18. OC just finished its second season under head coach
Josh Davis, a five-time Olympic medal winner.
"Coach Davis had a great deal to live up to … and this shows he's up to the challenge," said Greg Earhart, the executive director of the CSCAA.
