TULSA, Okla. (March 2, 2018) – Oklahoma Christian will face St. Edward's (Texas) in a battle of Heartland Conference Championship Cinderellas in the tournament semifinals on Saturday.

Sixth-seeded St. Edward's (18-11) punched its ticket to the semifinals on Friday by knocking off third-seeded Newman (Kan.) 71-62. Landon Goesling, the Heartland's scoring leader, led the Hilltoppers with 20 points, and former OC player Dorian Lopez had 12 points and nine rebounds.

Seventh-seeded OC (11-17) stunned second-seeded (and No. 17-ranked) Arkansas-Fort Smith in a quarterfinal on Thursday. Tipoff between the Eagles and Hilltoppers on Saturday at the Union Multipurpose Activity Center will be at 5 p.m.

St. Edward's beat OC twice during the regular season, winning 85-81 in Oklahoma City on Jan. 6 and 107-92 in Austin on Feb. 1. OC played the latter game without two starters due to injury and illness.

The other semifinal Saturday will pit top-seeded Dallas Baptist (Texas) against fourth-seeded Lubbock Christian (Texas) at noon. OC split with both those teams during the regular season. The winners will play Sunday at noon.
