
OC-NWOSU Highlights
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (Dec. 7, 2009) – The No. 4 ranked Eagles' basketball team persevered through another heart-pounding match against Northwestern Oklahoma State on Monday night in the Eagles' Nest with a 70-67 victory over the Rangers.
The game took a back-and-forth start as Northwestern Oklahoma started with the lead before going through eight lead changes and three ties during the first half. After NWOSU's Jonathan Freemyer tied the score at 15-15, the Rangers took the lead and did not yield it until the Eagles' tied it with 3:13 remaining.
Down six points with less than five minutes left in the game, the Eagles rallied to put up a 12-0 run with an exclamation point on the end with a Devan White dunk to get the Nest on its feet.
The Eagles saw the game to the end as NWOSU came back within one point before the OC men secured the victory with several free throws in the last seconds of the game.
Taylor continued to pace the Eagles with another double-double game tallying 19 points and 10 rebounds. Chad Endres was another impact player also registering a double-double for the night scoring 12 points and grabbing 12 boards for the Eagles.
Jeff Crocker was two for three from behind the arc and totaled 14 points and eight assists for the Eagles. Fellow guard David Jackson scored another 10 points for the Eagles and made five assists during the game.
Devan White helped keep the Eagles in the game late and scored 11 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and made three assists throughout the night.
After being ranked No. 4 in Monday's poll, the Eagles furthered their undefeated season to 10-0 and 4-0 in conference play.
The Eagles now turn their focus toward Southwestern Christian University (Okla.) who they will play at home in the Eagles' Nest on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 4 p.m.
