Oklahoma Christian defeated John Brown University but fell to Southern Nazarene University in the semifinals of the Joe Cooper Ford Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament in Shawnee, Okla. March 5.

The Lady Eagles beat JBU in overtime 85-79 after a 71-71 tie at the end of regulation play. Junior Tasha Turney had six points, Katie Fariss had four and Lauren Decker and Rachel Martin each had two points in the extra period. OC improved its record to 25-7.

Fariss led OC with 20 points, followed by Turney with 17, Martin with 15 and Decker and Carlissa Plowden each with 13.

In the semifinal, SNU jumped to an early lead, led 47-33 at halftime and shot 63 percent in the second half to take a 90-67 victory. Turney and Martin each had 15 points to lead the Lady Eagles' scoring.
