Oklahoma Christian opened the season on a high note as the Lady Eagles rolled past Bacone College 104-41 in a non-conference match-up Nov. 6.
Four Lady Eagles finished in double figures and Putnam City freshman Jennifer Haynes led with 17. Lauren Decker tallied 16, followed by Becky Gray with 14 and Tasha Turney with 13.
Haynes in her first collegiate outing, finished with a double-double pulling down a team leading 11 rebounds.
Oklahoma Christian, behind the hot hand of Decker and Gray, jumped out to a 15-0 lead, led 26-6 at the 9:31 mark and went into halftime with a 48-23 lead.
OC shot 39 percent from the floor while Bacone was suffering through a dismal 20 percent shooting night from the field. The Lady Eagles were 36 of 49 at the foul line, good for a 74 percent effort.
Becone's leading scorer was Candice Holloway with 12 points and Shanna Campbell was the game's leading rebounder with 13.
