After going 1-1 on the Texas road trip, Oklahoma Christian dropped two places, to No. 6 on the NAIA Top 25 Poll released Feb. 1.
The Eagles, now 19-2 on the season, fell to then 21st ranked Lubbock Christian by an 85-66 count Jan. 27 but bounced back to topple Wayland Baptist University 87-76 Jan. 29. OC, now sits in first place in the Sooner Athletic Conference race with a 7-2 record.
NAIA All-American Jarred Merrill and sophomore Keith Harris led OC scores against Lubbock Christian. Merrill had 23 points and nine rebounds and Harris scored 20 points and had five caroms.
In the WBU victory sophomore Charles Baldwin led the Eagles with 25 points, followed by Merrill with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Also in double figures were Harris with 16 points and guard Brady Page with 12 points.
