OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (Nov. 16, 2009) – The Oklahoma Christian men's basketball team put away the Hillsdale College Saints in a 86-45 victory on Monday night to maintain their undefeated record.
The Eagles played with intensity right from the start tacking up a 23-4 run against Hillsdale in the first ten minutes of the game. Devan White and Jason Taylor kept things rolling for the Eagles putting up 10 and nine points, respectively, in the first half.
Guards Jeff Crocker and David Jackson put up eight points apiece in the first half to add to the mix. The Eagles had a hard time missing as they shot nearly 60% from the field. OC put up 47 points against the Saints' 19 before the first buzzer.
The second half saw a similar Eagles team with great shooting accuracy and fluid plays throughout. Devan White shot 100% from behind the arc to add to his 10 additional points in the second half. White put up 20 points overall along with passing out four assists.
Crocker continued to drive to the net again and again from the backfield putting up another nine points in the second half for a combined 17 overall. Crocker also handed out five assists and grabbed five rebounds.
Jason Taylor ended up with 15 points overall, eight rebounds, and seven assists proving his versatility on the court. Chad Endres also scored another eight points for the Eagles.
OC finished off the victory with a 41-point margin of victory after leading by as much as 47 points during the contest. The Eagles averaged 57% from the field and 45% from behind the arc.
The Eagles remain undefeated with a 4-0 season record and will head to the road for their first conference contest against Northwestern Oklahoma State on Nov. 23 in a double header with the women's team. The women will play at 6 p.m. with the Eagles following at 8 p.m.
