While at LeTourneau, Lewis served as the assistant men's basketball coach and recruiting coordinator, during which he also served as the head men's cross country coach from 2009-14.

Accolades under Lewis' tutelage at LU include four men's basketball ASC East Division Frist Team All-Conference selections, five Second Team honorees and the ASC East Division Freshman of the Year. In cross country, Lewis coached 10 ASC Academic All-Conference team selections while his teams qualified for three NCAA South/Southwest Regionals.

Most recently, Lewis spent the 2022-23 season as the assistant men's basketball coach at Friends University, where he focused on player development, recruitment and evaluation of talent and devising in-game strategies.

Lewis graduated from Metro State in Denver, Colo. in May of 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality Management. Lewis also played for Metro's men's basketball team, where he served as team captain and went on to become Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Champions.Â
