Mitchell Whitehead

Since August 2020, Mitchell Whitehead has worked as an assistant bowling coach and trainer at Oklahoma Christian.

Whitehead, from Sachse, Texas, bowled for West Texas A&M – which competes against OC in the Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Circuit – from 2013 to 2017, posting two top-five tournament finishes. As a senior, he posted a scoring average of 192.99 over 72 games. He worked with WT's club program for three years before joining the staff of OC head bowling coach James Hayes.

He earned a bachelor of science degree in athletic training in 2017 and a master's degree in sports management in 2020, both from West Texas A&M. He's also a certified athletic trainer (ATC).

As he worked on his master's degree, he served as West Texas A&M's assistant coach as well as a facility intern, a position in which he helped manage numerous club sports at the university in Canyon, Texas.
