Woodman Distance Carnival … Also qualified for the national meet in the 1,500 meters, but did not run that race in Georgia … Posted top 1,500 time of 4:07.14 at the Southwestern Relays … Ran second leg on 4x800-meter relay team that posted time of 8:16.10 at the Kansas Relays … Previous school: Attended Portland Christian High School, where he was a two-time Oregon Class 2A track and field champion … As a junior, won the 2A title in both the 1,500 meters and the 3,000 meters, earning most valuable runner honors at the state track meet … As a senior, finished third in 2A state cross country, finishing with a time of 16:20 in the 5,000-meter race … Also finished second in the 3,000 meters in the Class 2A state meet as a senior, with time of 8:58.19, and in the 1,500 meters, with a time of 4:17.09 … Also was part of the 2A runner-up 4x400-meter relay team.
