Tom Odhiambo

One of the greatest goal scorers in NAIA history, Tom Odhiambo is in his 11th season as an assistant coach at Oklahoma Christian.

Odhiambo was a member of three NAIA national championship teams at Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) before transferring to Oklahoma Christian in 2001. That season, the native of Kisumu, Kenya, scored 22 goals to help the Eagles post a 17-4-1 record and reach the quarterfinals of the NAIA national tournament, matching the best finish ever by an OC squad. Overall, Odhiambo was a four-time All-American and he still ranks fifth in NAIA career goals (108) and sixth in career points (254). He remains the only player in OC soccer history to receive All-America first-team honors.

As an assistant coach, Odhiambo helped tutor OC Athletic Hall of Famer Matt Clark as Clark broke Odhiambo’s school record with 23 goals in 2003.

Odhiambo, who has played internationally as a member of Kenya's national team, has coaching experience at the college, high school and club levels. His coaching stops include Putnam City West High School in Oklahoma City, Edmond Santa Fe High School, the Southern Kentucky Soccer Club and the Edmond Soccer Club.

He and his wife, Claudia, have two children, Isabela and Simba.
