Nursing major … Talented distance runner who is Eagles’ top returning performer, having finished 11th individually in last season’s NAIA Championship in 24:21, helping lead OC to team title … Has earned NAIA All-America honors seven times in track and cross country … Was fourth in Sooner Athletic Conference Championship in 24:33 as Eagles won conference crown … Finished no worse than 14th in any meet in 2011, highlighted by a win in the Oklahoma City University Fall Classic in 25:15 … Also earned All-America status in outdoor track (sixth in 10,000 meters) after missing indoor season due to injury … Finished 17th in 2010 NAIA cross country championships and 57th in 2009 national race … In 2011 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, was sixth in the 5,000 meters and fifth in the 10,000 meters … Third in 5,000 meters in NAIA indoor meet in 2011 … Member of third-place OC distance medley relay team in 2010 NAIA indoor meet … Sidelined with injuries during 2008 cross country season … Previous school: Attended Nduriri High School in Gatamaiyu, Kiambu, Kenya … Won numerous races in Kenyan competition … Played forward for his high school soccer team for four years.
