EDMOND, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian opened the season with a dominating 3-0 win over the Colorado Christian Cougars. The Eagles were led by the goalkeeper, Dante Caffaro (transfer from Mid-America Christian University) who posted a clean sheet in his debut as a member of the white-and-maroon. OC also put together an impressive scoring outing, tallying three goals on opening night.

The Eagles controlled the entire game with a 67% possession total compared to the Cougars' 33%. The first goal came within the last two minutes of the first half from Mason Tracey assisted by Grayson Schmidt. The Eagles went into the half leading 1-0 with an 8-1 advantage in shots on goal.

Oklahoma Christian came out of the half strong as they netted their second goal on the night at the 55:07 mark, scored by Alejandro Gomez assisted by Luis Alvis, two key returners for the Eagles squad. OC continued their strong season opener by scoring their 3rd and final goal on the night in the 69th minute of the match. The goal was headed in by newcomer, Kenzo Shabazz-Edwards (Rogers State Transfer) and assisted by Igor Caballero.

Within the last two minutes of the contest the Cougars had a free kick right outside the penalty box and Dante Caffaro solidified his stellar debut by capturing a great save giving him 2 saves on the night and completing his clean sheet.Â
