Thackerville, Okla. - No. 19 Oklahoma Christian finishing in the top four in the Lone Star Conference stroke play Monday and Tuesday, competed in the Medal Match play portion of the championships.
Semi-Finals
The Eagles in the 3-seed matched up in the semi-final match with the 2-seed and No. 5 ranked West Texas A&M in a match that came down to the final putt in the final match.
Susana Granados and Maria Torres put up good fights against their opponents, but would both fall to see the Eagles down two early in the results.
Haley Blevins and Abbey Lynn both gave spectacular performances to beat their opponents and tie the overall match at 2-2. Lynn put together her best round of the tournament, shooting an even par 72.
Sofia Benavides and her WT counterpart competed in an absolute punch-for-punch match that would end in a tie.
The Eagles edged out the Buffs by 2-stoke with the rules of a tie being that all scores must be added together. The final score finished with West Texas shooting a 367 and the Oklahoma Christian finishing with 365.
This gave them an afternoon match up with No. 1 ranked Dallas Baptist University for the Lone Star Conference Champions.
Conference Finals
The Eagles round with the Patriots was their fifth round of golf in three days and for the title of Lone Star Conference Champions.
The matches were competitive till the end but No. 1 ranked DBU pulled away at the end to claim the title.
In the Eagles final year of competition in the Lone Star Conference, they go out on a high note, with the best finish in the Division II era and will look to make a run into the NCAA postseason.

The No.19 Eagles will have a week to rest and work on their game before heading to NCAA DII South Central Regional in Brookside, California.
