Edmond, Okla. - No. 22 Oklahoma Christian closed out their second round at Kickingbird Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon, claiming solo second as a team, outshooting cross-town rivals Central Oklahoma at the end.

The cooler air brought in by yesterday's winds played a role across the field as most of the leaderboard struggled to find birdies on the course.
Sofia Benavides dropped four birdies as she fought off everyone on the course to claim another solo victory for herself. Benavides shot a 73 (+3) today to claim her second collegiate victory.
Maria Torres improved on her round yesterday by shooting a 74 (+4) and getting herself down into the top 10 to finish tied for seventh.
The best improvement for the Eagles came from Susana Granados, who finished with a 77 (+7) to claim a top-25 finish tied for 24th.
Haley Blevins shot an 81 (+11) to claim a top-10 finish, and Abbey Lynn rounded out things for the Eagles,
finishing with an 86 (+16).
This team performance on the day of a 305 led to a second-place finish of a 599, beating UCO by eight strokes.
The Eagles also had three individuals perform well at the tournament, with Sarah Sherrard shooting an 85 (+15) today and Allie Sullivan finishing with an 83 (+13). Blaine Bruton took nine strokes off her first-round score to shoot a 76 (+6) to finish the tournament strong.

The No. 22 Eagles will take almost a month off before traveling to Tucson, Arizona, to compete in the West Texas Desert Invitational on April 1st and 2nd at the Ventana Canyon Golf Course.
