Hilton Head Island, SC - Oklahoma Christian traveled to Hilton Head Island to compete in the Battle at Hilton Head to open up their spring season. 

Round 1 

The Eagles opened the tournament with solid play, finishing the day in second place as a team but several strokes outside first place. 

Maria Torres led the way for the Eagles with a 75 and sat tied in sixth individually. 

Sofia Benavides also finished the first round, tied in the top ten. 

Round 2 

Going into the final round of play, the Eagles sat in solo second but were ten strokes back from the top team, Wingate. But the tides would quickly change as all five Eagles shaved strokes off their first-round scores. 

Maria Torres opened the second round by scoring 5-under on the front nine, including a string of three birdies. 

Torres finished the day at 7-under and claimed the individual victory. 

Haley Blevins finished the day strong, shooting a 76 and playing the par 3's 2-under. Blevins finished the tournament tied for 14th individually.

Sofia Benavides had a solid outing with a tie for 11th with a score of 153. 

The team capped an amazing final round with a 19-stroke swing to claim the victory for the Eagles.

Maria Torres 75 - 65 = 140 (1st)

Haley Blevins 78 - 76 = 154

The Eagles have a week off before they will compete just down the road at Kickingbird Golf Course in the Diffee Invitational hosted by Southern Nazarene on March 4th and 5th.
