LAWTON, Okla. - No. 19 Women's golf opened its fall season with the Oklahoma Intercollegiate hosted by Cameron University and left the two-round tournament with two titles.
Haley Blevins won her first individual tournament and led the Eagles to a team tournament win.
Oklahoma Christian shot a team total of 296 in the opening round on Monday and improved on that in round two by shooting 294 for a two-round total of 590 (+22).
Blevins carded a 71 (E) in her opening round and a 74 in round two, turning in a 145 (+3) to win the individual title.
Sophomore
Maria Torres came in right behind Haley, carding a 146 (+4) in her return to the course to take second individually.
Sofia Benavides (78, 72) and newcomer
Susana Granados (73, 77) tied for 8th place, handing in card totals of 150 (+8).
Abbey Lynn rounded out the Eagles' five, finishing T18 while shooting back-to-back rounds of 77.
Individually,
Sarah Sherrard,
Blaine Bruton, and
Allie Sullivan turned in solid rounds for OC as well.
