82 Eagles Earn 2022-23 D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards

Westlake, Ohio. - Eighty-two Oklahoma Christian Athletes earned the Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award for the 2022-23 academic year, on the list announced by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics this morning.

The Academic Achievement Award program, in its 16th year, recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level. To qualify for the honor, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5, have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college-level work, and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during the past academic year.

In total, there were a record-breaking 19,646 student-athletes from 196 institutions recognized for the 2022-23 Academic Achievement Awards. The Lone Star Conference featured 912 of the recording-breaking number, and OC's 82 were the fourth most in the conference.

Thoughts From Athletic Director David Lynn

It is encouraging to see our athletes continue to excel as they compete in the classroom, and we are proud of our athletes for representing Oklahoma Christian in this way.
