INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 10, 2022) – Oklahoma Christian checked in at No. 12 in the West Super Region in the first set of regional rankings issued by the NCAA for the 2021-22 Division II women's golf season, which were released Thursday.

Two more sets of regional rankings will be announced – on March 17 and April 14 – before the NCAA will reveal the teams selected for Division II's four super regional tournaments on April 25. Twelve teams will be chosen to play in the West Super Regional, scheduled for May 2-4 at Brookside Country Club in Stockton, Calif.

Since becoming eligible for NCAA postseason events with the 2015-16 academic year, the Eagles have made the regional field three times (2016, 2019, 2021) and advanced in 2019 to the NCAA Division II Championship tournament.

OC played in five tournaments during the fall portion of the season. The Eagles placed fourth out of nine teams at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate at Lawton Country Club in Lawton, Okla., took fifth of 11 teams in the power-packed Dallas Baptist Invitational at The Golf Club of Dallas and fifth of 13 teams in the West Texas A&M Fall Invitational at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas.

The Eagles will open the spring portion of their season March 7-8 at the Diffie Ford-Lincoln Invitational, to be hosted by Southern Nazarene at Lincoln Park Golf Club's East Course in Oklahoma City. OC will play in three other spring events before the Lone Star Conference Championship on April 21-23 at Squaw Valley Golf Club's Apache Links in Glen Rose, Texas.
