DUNCAN, Okla. (July 14, 2021) – With a win on Wednesday over a former teammate, Oklahoma Christian golfer Alyssa Wilson moved into the title match in the President's Flight of the Women's Oklahoma Golf Association State Amateur Championship.

Playing at The Territory Golf and Country Club, Wilson – a rising sophomore from Yukon – downed her former high school teammate, top-seeded Ashlyn Acosta, 3 and 2 in a semifinal match in the tournament's second-highest bracket. Acosta now is a freshman at Redlands Community College in El Reno.

In the other semifinal, 10th-seeded Kim Bell of Norman knocked off third-seeded Lily Stanton, a rising junior at Jenks High School, in 19 holes.

The fourth-seeded Wilson will face Bell in the title match on Thursday at 9 a.m.

Wilson played in four tournaments for OC during the 2020-21 season, recording a scoring average of 80.22 over nine rounds. She tied for seventh in the West Texas A&M Fall Invitational in Amarillo, Texas, in October, which was her first collegiate top-10 finish.
