EDMOND, Okla. (March 9, 2021) – Oklahoma Christian golfer
Alexandria Bennett posted a career-best sixth-place finish in Southern Nazarene's Diffie Ford-Lincoln Invitational, which ended Tuesday at Kickingbird Golf Course.
Bennett, a sophomore from Plano, Texas, overcame gusty winds to shoot a 4-over-par 74 on the 5,821-yard course and move up six spots in the 88-woman field. She finished the two-round tournament with a score of 150 (10-over-par), five shots behind the winner, Central Oklahoma's Emma Shelley.
It was the fifth career top-10 finish for Bennett, with two of those coming during the 2020-21 campaign.
Bennett was one of three Eagles who competed in the tournament as individuals. Sophomore
Hannah Sullivan of Eufaula finished 84th at 191 after a final-round 97, while sophomore
Sarah Harrison of Edmond was one spot behind Sullivan at 193 after posting a 96.
