RICHARDSON, Texas (May 12, 2020) – The Lone Star Conference named Oklahoma Christian junior Felicity Wittenberg to its 2019-20 Academic All-Conference team for women's golf on Tuesday.
To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.3 grade-point average and be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically. The team is selected by sports information directors from the league's member schools, who consider both athletic and academic achievement while voting.
Wittenberg, a Nursing major from West Pymble, Australia, has a perfect 4.0 grade-point average and is a two-time Women's Golf Coaches Association All-America Scholar. She earned the Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award in 2018-19 and has made a conference honor roll (either the Heartland Conference's or the LSC's) each semester of her academic career.
On the course, she became a regular in OC's starting lineup this past season, recording two top-10 finishes for the Eagles and posting a 79.60 scoring average over 10 rounds.
Joining Wittenberg on the LSC Academic All-Conference team were Joselyn Jackson of Angelo State (Texas), Allison Duffin of Cameron, Hanna Harrison of Dallas Baptist (Texas) and Jelina Fernando of West Texas A&M, who was chosen as the league's academic player of the year.
