Goad named as Eagle of the Week

OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 18, 2020) – Matching her career-best individual finish in a tournament earned Oklahoma Christian golfer Shaley Goad recognition Sunday as the Eagle of the Week.

Goad, a junior from Wheeler, Texas, finished as the runner-up in the Sydney Cox Invitational, played Monday and Tuesday at Lincoln Park Golf Club's East and West Courses.

She shot a 1-under-par 69 in the first round on the East Course, then followed with a 1-over 73 on the West Course for an overall score of even-par 142. She was one of only two players in the 62-woman field to finish at par or better.

Goad made the all-tournament team while recording her fifth collegiate top-five finish and her first second-place showing since the Heartland Conference Championship tournament in 2019.
