OKLAHOMA CITY (July 18, 2019) – A trip to California will highlight Oklahoma Christian's fall schedule for women's golf, announced Thursday by coach
Greg Lynn.
For the fifth straight year, OC will open its season in Tahlequah, playing in the Northeastern State Women's Classic at Cherokee Hills Golf Club on Sept. 9-10. The Eagles have won the event twice, in 2015 and 2018.
On Sept. 23-24, the Eagles will head south to play in the Dallas Baptist Women's Fall Classic, which will be held for the first time at Wildhorse Golf Club in Denton, Texas. The following week, on Sept. 30-Oct. 1, OC will play in the West Texas A&M Fall Invitational in Amarillo, Texas, at Tascosa Golf Club's La Paloma Golf Course.
The Eagles' first tournament in California since May 2016 will be the NCAA Division II West Super Region Preview, which will be played at The Club at La Costa in Carlsbad, Calif. That course also will be the site of the West Super Regional in May. California State-San Marcos will host both tournaments.
The Eagles are coming off a season in which they finished fourth in the West Super Regional and qualified for the NCAA Division II Championship for the first time. OC finished 12th at the national tournament in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
OC's spring schedule will be announced at a later date.
