OKLAHOMA CITY (May 8, 2019) – Eight woman have been named to the revived Oklahoma Christian cheerleading squad, coach Susan Jones said Wednesday.

Cheering for OC in 2019-20 will be Mallori McDonald, a sophomore from Choctaw; Mackensey McNeill, a junior from Oklahoma City; Autumn Barnett, a senior from Shawnee; Taylor Hankins, a freshman from Fort Smith, Ark.; Kelsey Parrish, a freshman from Wichita Falls, Texas; Shelby Remling, a junior from Lone Grove; Avery Black, a senior from Oxnard, Calif.; and Allie Gill, a freshman from Republic, Mo.

OC announced in February that competitive cheer will be offered as a club sport beginning with the 2019-20 academic year. Plans also call for stunt – a fast-growing sport in colleges and high schools – to be added in 2020-21.

Susan Jones, who works as an academic coach in OC's Student Success office, will serve as the coach of both programs, which will offer scholarships. Bailey Davis will be the assistant coach.
