EDMOND, Okla. (March 12, 2019) – Oklahoma Christian's
Felicity Wittenberg moved up 11 spots into a tie for 11th individually on Tuesday, the final day of the Diffie Ford-Lincoln Invitational, hosted by Southern Nazarene at Kickingbird Golf Course.
Wittenberg, a sophomore from West Pymble, Australia, started the day tied for 22nd in the 52-woman field, but shot a 6-over-par 76 to move into 11th with a two-round score of 157. That made her the highest finisher among those golfers playing the tournament as individuals.
It was the second-highest individual finish of Wittenberg's collegiate career, topped only by a ninth-place showing last spring in Rogers State's Hillcat Classic at Bailey Ranch Golf Club in Owasso.
OC freshman
Sarah Harrison of Edmond also moved up on the tournament's final day, jumping from 46th to 41st place by shooting an 85 that put her at 177 overall. A third OC player in the tournament, sophomore
Taje Woods of Mustang, withdrew Tuesday.
Gloria Choi of Southwestern Oklahoma State won the individual title, finishing at 1-under 139.
