OC's Kate Goodwin won the Dallas Collegiate Championship
DALLAS (June 5, 2018) – Oklahoma Christian golfers Kate Goodwin and Shaley Goad finished 1-2 in the Dallas Collegiate Championship, which ended Tuesday at The Golf Club of Dallas.

Goodwin, a rising senior from Tulsa who won the NCAA Division II West Super Regional and qualified for the Division II Championship last month, shot the only under-par round in the tournament, a 1-under 69 in the tournament's opening round on Monday. She added two rounds of 76 to win with a score of 220.

Goad, a rising sophomore from Wheeler, Texas, was the runner-up with a score of 234 after posting rounds of 81, 76 and 77.

The OC duo finished ahead of (among others) players from three Division I programs and three strong Division II programs.

The tournament is part of the Texas Collegiate Amateur Tour, which features summer and holiday tournaments for collegiate and amateur golfers at elite courses in the Lone Star State.
