Box Score LAREDO, Texas (Sept. 30, 2017) – Alan Rivera scored a pair of second-half goals, one on a penalty kick, to lift Texas A&M International past Oklahoma Christian 2-0 in a Heartland Conference men's soccer game on Saturday afternoon at Dustdevil Field.
OC (3-5-1, 1-4-1 Heartland) and TAMIU (4-2-2, 3-2-1) battled on even terms for most of the match before the referee awarded the Dustdevils a penalty kick after an OC foul in the 53rd minute. Rivera converted the kick to put TAMIU ahead.

Both goalkeepers – OC's
Gianluca Marchetti and TAMIU's Josh Jones – made four saves apiece.
OC will look to bounce back next week with a pair of Heartland home games – on Thursday against Texas-Permian Basin and on Saturday against Lubbock Christian (Texas).
