Box Score SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 28, 2017) – St. Mary's (Texas) scored early and late en route to a 2-0 win over Oklahoma Christian in a men's soccer game on Thursday night at Sigma Beta Chi Field.
St. Mary's (5-3-1, 3-2 Heartland Conference) scored in the sixth and 88th minutes to hold off OC (3-4-1, 1-3-1) on a warm, rainy night in south Texas.
The Rattlers, who outshot OC 13-7, took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Luis Sanchez, who shot from about 10 yards out. OC played a man down over the final 18 minutes after a red card was issued, and St. Mary's took advantage to seal the win on Pato Botello Faz's late goal.

Gianluca Marchetti, the reigning Heartland defensive player of the week, made five saves for the Eagles, while his St. Mary's counterpart, Mauricio Albo, had three saves.
The Eagles' road trip will continue Saturday in Laredo, Texas, with a 1 p.m. game at Heartland foe Texas A&M International.
