Box Score PORTALES, N.M. (Sept. 27, 2014) – Oklahoma Christian's Fraol Legesse scored his first career goal, but the Eagles dropped a 3-1 decision at Eastern New Mexico on Saturday afternoon.

Eastern New Mexico (2-5-1) beat OC (1-4-1) for the second straight season, having won on the Eagles' home field in Oklahoma City in 2013.

The Greyhounds took a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute on Saturday, as an 18-yard shot by Gil Munoz deflected off an OC defender and into the goal. ENMU's Christian Johnson was credited with an assist on the play.

In the 32nd minute, the Greyhounds' Edgar Davila passed to Isaak Arrieta, whose cross found the head of teammate Ryan McManus. McManus scored to make it 2-0. About seven minutes later, Eastern New Mexico went up 3-0 when Abayneh Crosby headed in a free kick from the right side by Braulio Martinez.

Legesse, a sophomore, pulled the Eagles within 3-1 in the 52nd minute, taking a pass from Taylor Vanderford and sliding the ball past ENMU goalkeeper James Gutierrez. But OC wasn't able to sustain the rally, managing only three more shots the rest of the way.

For the game, the Greyhounds outshot OC 22-8. Gutierrez made five saves while OC goalkeeper Evan Helker made six saves.

OC will have a nine-day break before opening Heartland Conference play at home against St. Edward's (Texas) on Oct. 6. St. Edward's finished tied for second in the 2013 conference regular-season standings.
