Eagles fall in region semis

Oklahoma Christian's 12th ranked Eagles fell by a 2-1 count to the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in the semifinal match in the NAIA Region VI Tournament here Nov. 7.

After taking an early 1-0 lead on senior Matt Clark's goal, OC surrendered two second half scores to the Drovers to decide the contest.

Clark, a three-time NAIA All-American honorable mention, scored in the fourth minute of play after receiving an assist from senior teammate Brady Nikkel.  The offensive minded Eagles were unable to cash in on at least four scoring opportunities in the opening half.

USAO came back in the second half as USAO's Tom Hubbard scored in the 63rd minute and John Gardner kicked in the winning goal in the 80th minute of play.

In the waning minutes of play Nikkel narrowly missed a header in the 74th minute of play with his shot just tipping over the top bar.

The Eagles records is 11-4-2.
