OC falls at No. 3 SNU 2-0

BETHANY, Okla. (Nov. 5, 2007) - - Oklahoma Christian fell 2-0 Monday night to No. 3 Southern Nazarene (Okla.) in the semifinals of the NAIA Region VI Men's Soccer Tournament.

The loss dropped OC's 2007 record to 8-7-2.

The Eagles and Crimson Storm played a scoreless opening 37 minutes Monday. OC outshot SNU 12-to-11 in the first half, with eight Eagle shots coming on goal.

OC appeared to have taken an early lead at the with 33:25 left when Ryan Frampton's header trickled into the net. The goal was reversed, however, on a goalie-interference call.

SNU got on the board at the 8:19 mark when Cameron Doom rattled home a goal off the post to make it 1-0.

With 2:35 on the clock, OC's Cristian Fernandes' break-away shot was snagged by SNU goalkeeper David Eguren to keep the tally at 1-0.

The Crimson Storm capitalized just 27 seconds later when Eric Ouedraogo rolled a shot into the left side to up the SNU lead to 2-0.

OC was unable to find any points in the second stanza. The Eagles fired five shots to SNU's nine.

Frampton finished the contest with four shots, all on goal. OC All-SAC goalkeeper Bryan Cochrum collected nine saves on the night. Eguren grabbed 10.
