Eagles fall in first round SAC playoff

CLAREMORE, Okla. (Nov. 6, 2009) – The Oklahoma Christian men's soccer team fell 1-0 to Rogers State University in the first round playoffs of the SAC tournament Friday night.

The first round playoff between OC and RSU went all the way to the 85th minute before a score was made. A scoreless first half, despite numerous shots by both teams, was followed by a seemingly scoreless second. With just over five minutes remaining in the game, Carlos Zuta of Rogers State put the ball into the OC net off an assist from his teammate Robert Yang to score the only goal of the match.

The match was a game between two stubborn defenses. OC's Tim Spencer made 11 saves during the game allowing only the one goal. Through post-season play, the Eagles earned a 9-6-2 overall record.
